Lake Teedyuskung website, hello! My name is John Askildsen, and I recently stumbled upon the Lake Teedyuskung website. Just thought I’d drop you a note to say that my parents (Herb and Ruth Askildsen) owned a home on the west shore, from the late 1960’s, to 1973. It was in between the (Rusty) Robbins house and the Sterns place. In looking at your map and photos, I would guess that it is now called the Ruhl’s house. In the photo of the Ruhl’s house I recognize the approach down the hill to the dock. I swear, I think that the dock in the photo is the one my dad built! We had great days on the lake, doing all the things that you describe on the website-fishing-we used to fish from the ‘big rock’ for perch, blueberry picking, getting water from “the spring” for morning coffee, hunting for crayfish on Teeter’s brook and even under the house on Teeter’s cove, swimming, boating, cuckoo’s nest for birch beer and old arcade type games, etc., very fond memories indeed. Just thought I’d drop you a note to let you know that I appreciated going through the website very much and thanks for the memories. Regards, John Askildsen
