COMMITTEE REPORTS (Continued)

West Shore Road:

Though it was late in the season, I am confident that most if not all homeowners would agree that we were very happy with the quality of maintenance work done on the road last year.  Thanks again to Dick Teeter for finding and hiring a new contractor for the road. If you have not done so already, please send your road dues of $150.00, and an additional $50.00 for each extra dwelling on your property to Dick Teeter as soon as possible (Checks payable to West Shore Road).  Please keep in mind that regardless of where you may live along the West Shore Road, you are expected to support its upkeep.

We ask all homeowners to please monitor the drainage ditch in front of their property.  If you see any obstructions, please help us keep it clear. Through continued mutual cooperation, we will be able to keep the road safe and usable for all.

Always keep in mind that if you own any type of recreational vehicle, you must abide by the posted speed limit of 15mph, use extreme caution, make sure your vehicle is equipped with a proper muffling device, and abide by the laws of Pennsylvania and the laws of common sense when operating these vehicles.  We spend a lot of money every year maintaining the road so that all West Shore homeowners can safely get to and from their residence.

Wildlife and Fishing:

Always be sure to properly secure all food and garbage so as not to attract the bears close to the houses.  Please be careful when walking the road. A large bear with cubs has been spotted in the vicinity of the lake. Do not attempt to approach or feed any of the wildlife.  Additionally, we do not want the return of geese and/or ducks to the lake, so please do not feed them.

Gypsy Moth Spraying:

No Gypsy Moths=No Spraying for this year.
