Comments First off, what a great site. Once again I’m 21 and fishing with my friend
Dennis N. who worked at Woodlock in the bar. I was a Big House Brat, and spend my
youth playing shuffle board in The White Owl. If you remember those good old days at
the Big House, send me an email. I’d love to hear from you….

Comments I am a cousin of the Engvaldsens. I remember summers in the Poconos and
our cabin on RD#1. My uncle Warren (Wassmer) had a house on Lake Teedyuskung. We
would swim and canoe and fish. It was a blast!

Comments I just located your site online & found it fascinating. My parents, Vere &
Lucile Blackman bought what is now the Seidensticker home in 1953 from the estate of
the builder & original owner who I believe had been a local doctor. The house was a
treasure trove of Arts & Crafts ‘cottage’ design & virtually unchanged from when it was
built around the turn of the 20th C. We bought & sold it furnished (brass beds & wood
burning stove included!) I my summers at the lake from ’53-’60 with my mother. Father
used to drive up each weekend from his work in East Brunswick N.J. I tell everyone how
idyllic my childhood summers were & it’s wonderful to know that others feel the same
about their time at the Lake.
