Comments I really enjoyed the laketeedyuskung.com web site. Seeing my name along
with my brother and sister, George and Joan Stevenson in regard to our home Stevenson’s
Cove was exciting, as I have nothing but fond memories growing up on this beautiful
lake. Joan and I still live in Delaware, I am 58 Joan is 61. George lives in Las Vegas,
N.V. The name of the saloon we founded in Delaware is called The Stone Balloon. Go to
stoneballoon.com and check it out. I got a kick out of The Lead Balloon. Thank you for
your work on this page. Bill

Comments I’m lost for words… I cut down a huge tree today in Las Vages that hung
over my house, and thought how my dad would have been proud of me for such a drop. It
was then that I goggled Teedyuskung, remembering the MOST wonderful times in my
life… That’s when I found this site… It brought happy tears to my eyes since we lost
most of our pictures of those times. My sister Joan may be able to find some old shots of
the lake. The stories I would love to tell go on and on, but more important the people that
I knew and loved where many. The 60’s on Lake Teedyuskung were truly a time and
place of innocence. I still think often of my Teedyuskung friends and family as Uncle
Harry, Ant Mary, Uncle Don and Ant Margie always taught us, that was what it was all
about. “Family” The early years would be square dancing at the Warriner-Smith cottage,
just 4 cabins away… seemed like 10 miles at the age of 8 years old in 1959 in the dark.
The old man that called the squares was my hero… “Right onto your partner and it’s grad

Comments so sorry, but I already wrote this. cont… The old man that called the squares
was my hero… “Right onto your partner and it’s grad right and left, when you meet your
lady, don’t leave here there alone, just swing her when you meet her and promenade her
home” Yes that could have been him, or Mr. Engvaldsen calling them at the Cuckoo’s
nest. My first friends… Alan Engvaldsen. Mike MacCleary, Kathy McCormack, Susan
Wassmer, Kim Teater. Willard MacCleary, Karn MacCleary… Kissing under the rafts for
the first time, hours in the sun… oh forgive us for that with no sunscreen. And all the
boats !!! Yes the back road was the Wild West sometime, and to be able to drive at the
age of 12 was in fact a scary thought in it self. People say I can drive a car better in
reverse, and it all comes from the back road. The spring… what more can you say about
the spring. Fill the canoe up with 8 to 10 empty plastic bottles and venture out to fill them
up. Pulling into the little area between the trees, and the cold water that
